Jungle Jaguars

Jungle Jaguars

Jungle Jaguars, original watercolour on handmade heavyweight rag paper, framed

Lose yourself in this wonderful jungle scene, surrounded by tropical lush foliage and flowers. Sleeping jaguars rest in the trees, underneath a blanket of stars, as chameleon-like lizards explore in the moonlight.

Painting these midnight scenes are so much fun. It gives me the opportunity to create scenes that one could never find in reality, though, I like to think that when the cameras go home, or perhaps these lands have never been troubled by humankind, these animals roam and their surroundings are free to flourish and grow in new ways.

A mix of dreamlike imagination, these paintings reflect a firm love and appreciation of the natural world. Now more than ever, the wildlife found in our oceans and who we share our planet with should be celebrated and treasured.

My work highlights what we know about the natural world, in the detailed reference I use when I create a painting; but also the mysteries of what we do not know. When I allow my imagination to run wild and invent fascinating spectacles of sights unseen. Only to ever be found in our wildest dreams
